Grappa is a high-proof pomace brandy from Italy that best develops its aroma in a small tulip-shaped glass: the Grappa glass. Typical Grappa glasses have a stem and are narrower at the top. The aromas remain more concentrated and stay in the glass longer. The taste of grappa can vary greatly depending on the manufacturer and composition. There are mild as well as strong, tart as well as fruity and even slightly sweet varieties. Since Grappa has an alcohol content of at least 37.5%, the drink is only administered in small quantities, for example as a digestive after dinner or at the bar. Grappa glasses therefore have a capacity of 2 - 4 cl and are available with or without a fill line , By the way, port wine or sherry should get a particularly original touch when it is drunk from a grappa glass.
