Chopping blocks made of plastic or wood for catering & butchery

Particularly hard woods such as acacia or walnut are used for chopping blocks, which are typically assembled to end grain. This not only looks good, but above all increases the resistance of the underlay and strengthens the antibacterial properties that wood naturally brings with it. The cleaning is done by special brushes with steel bristles. Very heavily used chopping boards can simply be sanded down from time to time and then look really good again. Chopping blocks with a cutting board made of food-safe plastic are also suitable. The plastic pad is insensitive to moisture, odorless and tasteless and also particularly impact and cut resistant. The ergonomic advantage compared to the wooden block is that frames with plastic pads are usually height adjustable and can therefore be adjusted to the body size of the user.
