Asparagus cooking pots

The pot must be high enough for the asparagus spears to stand upright - with the lid closed, because then the asparagus can cook in the steam in a way that saves nutrients and saves time. (The water should not completely cover the asparagus, but only cover the lower parts of the stem.) The pot must never be made of aluminum, as otherwise oxidation can lead to unsightly discoloration of the vegetables.
