Tomato knife, sausage knife

Slicing tomatoes in particular is a delicate matter and requires a knife that takes into account the special nature of the berry fruit, which is mainly used as a vegetable. Tomato knives are characterized by the saw toothing of the blade (serrated edge). The slightly upward tapering blade penetrates the tomato at a slight angle so that there is no squeezing and no splashing. Of course you can also cut other foods with a tomato knife, but the reverse is rarely the case.
